Mobile/Landline Call Forwarding

Airtel Call Forwarding

Airtel prepaid and postpaid numbers can forward incoming calls to an alternate number when the call is not answered (after full ring) or the number is unreachable (out of network coverage area). The alternate number to which the calls are forwarded to can be on any network, eg. Jio, BSNL, etc.

There is no charge for call forwarding and it's available free of charge on all prepaid and postpaid Airtel mobile connections.

These features need to be enabled through USSD codes by dialing the below numbers in the regular phone dialer.

Eg. if the alternate number to forward calls to is 9876543210, then dial the below numbers to enable/disable call forwarding.

Forward Condition Enable Forwarding Disable Forwarding
No answer (after full ring) **61*9876543210# ##61#
Not reachable (out of network coverage area) **62*9876543210# ##62#

Missed Call Alerts

In addition, dial *321*881# to get missed call alerts on SMS.

Rant

Airtel should have made this service available in the Airtel Thanks app rather than rely on cryptic USSD codes.
